The Southeastern Region includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands. Of these, Music Speaks serves in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Meet our southeastern region therapists:

Laura Faith Kendall, mt-bc

Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. She completed her internship at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton, North Carolina. Laura worked for Music Speaks in the state of California before moving to the east coast; she currently provides service in North Carolina. Her expertise populations include school-aged children and adult of all abilities and hospice. Laura is the Music Speaks Technology Assistant and also works frequently with the Administration Team.

MAGGIE BROWN, MT-BC

Maggie earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from the University of Western Illinois in Macomb, Illinois. Maggie is also certified as a NICU Music Therapist. Maggie serves as direct therapist in Nashville, Tennessee and is also an Internship Supervisor with Music Speaks. Before Music Speaks, she worked as the sole music therapist at a facility, and has vast experience educating and advocating for the field.
